WHERE ARE YOU?

When all in your life seems dismal and gray,
And you're thinking of ways to run away;
When you feel most days like a useless clod;
What pops out of your mouth is, "Where are you God?"

When your bills are all due and you have no money,
And someone calls to say, "Please pay this, Honey."
When your lights are shut off and there's nothing to do,
What do you say but, "God, where are you?"

Why is it we only speak to our Father,
When our life is in shambles  and all is a bother?
Why can't we see when our troubles abound,
If we want to see God, we should just look around.

God didn't give us the problems we bear.
He didn't say life would always be fair.
He didn't promise a life always sunny;
And He sure didn't say, "Just give me your money."

What He really said is, "I'm along for the ride.
If you ask me, believing, I'll always provide.
I'll never leave you alone and adrift;
Just give me your hand and I'll give you a lift."

So please don't despair when you can't see the end,
God is waiting for you around the next bend.
Just give Him your worry and trouble and strife,
Let Him do the work and get on with your life.
