MY JOURNEY
Ribbons of light drift around me,
As I travel upon life's road.
I'm searching for purpose and reason,
To help me carry my load.
Each mountain proves my limits,
As well as my power and will,
As I move beyond the summit,
I can see it was only a hill.
As I face up to each problem,
That seemed to be forging a chain,
I understand there is a lesson,
That each one did contain.
What good is a life with no errors,
To repair as I travel along?
They are merely stepping stones,
That teach me how to be strong.
As yet there is no obstacle,
That I can't make it through.
Or a problem that I cannot solve,
With a different point of view.
If I can only persevere
The answer will come to me,
It wasn't meant to be easy,
And it wasn't meant to be free.
The journey I'm on has a purpose,
And though it may not be clear,
Each bend in the road is a challenge,
To move ahead without fear.
I know that God is with me,
And he leads me toward my goal,
He lets me know each twist and turn,
Guides the journey of my soul.
