ANOTHER PAGE FROM SONJA
GOD SAID "NO"
When I ask for help, God said "No,
You have to learn to be strong",
So I gathered my strength to carry my load,
But oh my road was long.
When I ask for health, God said "No,
You have to learn to mend."
So I carried on until I was well,
Yet it seemed like a road with no end.
When I ask for direction, God said "No,
You have to learn to explore."
So I opened my eyes and looked around,
But my road had pitfalls galore.
When I said "I surrender", God said "At last,
You have finally found your treasure.
It isn't the things that are given to you
That really bring you pleasure."
When your road is uphill and rocky,
And you think you have turned every stone,
Then it is time to let go and let God,
You are not on your road alone.
God will be there right beside you,
Teaching each step of the way.
The things you learn by helping yourself,
Are the lessons God gave you each day.
